Who are the Kluwgants?
We're the Rebbe's ambassadors to Pierce College, Woodland Hills.
Which means
We're here to help people see the switch to their inner light so they can turn it on by themselves.
That's why
In 2015 we opened up our life's mission "Chabad at Pierce Inc " and have no intention of ever closing it or moving on.
We like you already!
And would love to know what brought you to this page

Life Before Pierce
Mushka
Grew up right here in the Valley. The love of her life was her Jewish summer camp. day camp, overnight camp, local, abroad. School was hard, Camp was a blast. Mushka saw herself becoming a homemaker for a working husband. Possibly using her talents for hair-styling or cooking to make a side hustle. She saw herself being a mother of many children. She did NOT see herself becoming a Jewish leader for college students.
But when Chabad at Pierce presented itself as an opportunity
The songs. The friendships. The free-spiritidness of camp came back to her 24 year old heart and she said YES.
She's still a full time mom. She still has a talent for cooking and hair-styling but now she gets to fill her life with things that provide students with a camp-like experience while they're in college
Isser
Grew up in Melbourne Australia. He was Mr. Math and Science in school. He was raised to become an actuary. When the world (read bullies) seemed cruel or unfair Isser found a very warm place in his heart for Chassidic stories and the novelty of thier ideas and values. The auhtentic love Chassidim have for their fellow Jew for Torah and for Hashem. The relationship they had with their leaders. Their commitment to following their inner truth. Judaism was always hard for Isser. The rituals and laws and pre-determined texts were very hard, Isser felt controlled by them, so he never anticipated on becoming a Rabbi.
But when Chabad at Pierce presented itself as an opportunity,
The kindness. The leadership. The values and mission. The authenticity that our teacher the Rebbe demands of and teaches us came back to his 24 year old mind and he said YES.
Now he's a full time Rabbi, executive director, fundraiser and Jewish life coordinator for the Jewish future, the students in college.

You might be wondering...
How did they meet?
If the ritual and laws of Judaism are hard for Isser.. how does he reconcile that with being a Rabbi?
When they married.. what was their plan?
Are they happy with their life choices?
How do they find time for each other and split the work?
Does Mushka still do hair-styling?
That's why we make friday night meals :) come and join us, you'll find out. We're pretty open about ourselves and we love having guests
